site quality, track marketing campaign responsiveness, and evaluate page
response rates.
You have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your

Information Use
Carbon's primary goal in collecting personal information is to
facilitate processing product orders and requested Model downloads and to enable
us to contact you if a problem arises with your order or request. Carbon may use
personal information such as name, physical address, telephone number, email
address, and company to engage in transactions with you, including contacting
you about your order or requested download.
Carbon may use your personal information to provide you
support or other services you have ordered, as well as product updates, product
patches and fixes and other similar communications. Carbon may contact you if
you download products to confirm certain information about your order (for
example, that you did not experience problems in the download process), discuss
the downloaded products or provide marketing or sales information about related
products and services. Carbon also may use this information to confirm
compliance with licensing and other terms of use and may share it with your
company and with Carbon’s business partners applicable to such product.
The Carbon site may also contain optional surveys and
questionnaires asking for information. We use the information you provide to
help us design and build better products and provide a better user experience.
Taking part in any of these segments is always optional and voluntary.
Carbon also conducts research on our users' demographics,
interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us when making a
product order, download request, from surveys and from our server log files. We
do this to better understand and serve our users. This research is compiled and
analyzed on an aggregated basis so as to prevent identification of personal
information relating to any one individual. Finally,
we may also ask for your personal information when you express an interest in
employment opportunities at Carbon.

Sharing
Except as outlined in this policy or on our web sites, Carbon does not provide
your personal information to third parties without your consent. Please note
that, in special cases, we may need to share information without acquiring
consent, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to
identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our
sites' Terms of Use or may be violating Carbon's or other's rights or causing
injury to or interference with Carbon's or other's property.
If you express an interest in a product or software download
requiring authorization from a Carbon Partner, Carbon will share your personal
information with the Partner in order to determine whether you are authorized to
purchase or download such product or software.
Carbon and its Partners may engage in joint sales or product promotions.
Such promotions will always reference the Partners involved.
Both Carbon and the Partner(s) will have
access to that information, and either Carbon or our Partners may provide you
the sales or product promotion information. We recommend you review the privacy
policies of these Partners to address your particular needs and concerns.
Carbon may share your personal information with third-party
business partners so that they may provide services to Carbon that are
consistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy and this web site (e.g.
database management, sending targeted emails, and software sales). Carbon takes
great pride in utilizing only reputable business partners.

When you download or provide personal information, we employ
certain technical and organization security measures, such as encryption where
appropriate. We have in place physical, administrative and technical safeguards
designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access.
Encryption scrambles the information in your request so this information can
only be viewed by Carbon. Carbon currently uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
encryption technology, where appropriate, for Internet-based transactions.
Even so, while we have taken appropriate steps to protect your
personal information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed

web site, and therefore you use our site at your own risk.
If your personal information is
acquired, or is reasonably believed to have been acquired, by an unauthorized

consistent with the reasonable needs of law enforcement and/or Carbon to
determine the scope of the breach and to investigate and restore the integrity
of the data system.
As a global company Carbon has users all over the world. The
personal information you provide may be transmitted, used, stored and otherwise
processed outside of the country where you submitted that information, including
jurisdictions that may not have data privacy laws that provide equivalent
protection to such laws in your home country. Whenever Carbon handles personal
information, regardless of where this occurs, we take appropriate steps to
ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with the
relevant Terms of Use, this Privacy Statement and all applicable laws and
regulations.
